Five members of the Alumni Association are serving on the 2012 nominating committee, which will recommend three individuals for the three director seats to be filled by board election.
The new directors will take office in September and serve five-year terms.
Kathryn Wilson Stabrawa ’02, vice chair of the Association board, is chairing the nominating committee. She is an account director for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Denver, Colo.
Serving with Stabrawa is board member Douglas L. Aschenbach ’81, president of Campus Partners for Community Urban Redevelopment in Columbus. Also on the committee are Christine Chen w’93, president of Strategic Alliances USA in Arlington, Va.; Douglas D. Loudenslager ’78 of JR Equipment in Upper Sandusky and Delaware, Ohio; and Thomas K. Sneed ’81, vice president and chief information officer for Marathon Oil in Houston, Tex.
Candidate considerations
The nominating committee will consider the following general criteria in evaluating candidates:
· Demonstrated leadership ability
· Diversity in all respects
· Professional background and achievements, including past and current experience on other boards
· Ohio State connections
The committee thanks all those who have submitted an application. The deadline for nominations has now passed, and candidates will be notified of their application in late spring.
