The five Alumni Association members serving on the 2013 nominating committee will recommend three individuals for the three director seats to be filled by board election.
The new directors will take office in October and serve five-year terms.
Board treasurer Doug L. Aschenbach ’81 is chairing the committee. He is president of Campus Partners for Community Urban Redevelopment in Columbus.
Serving with Aschenbach is board member Karl J. Kisner ’90, vice president of marketing at Univar Environmental Sciences in Austin, Tex.
Also on the committee are Tim Kreiter ’70, retired senior vice president for technical services at Cumberland Gap Provision Co. in Middlesboro, Ky.; Pamela K. Tapscott-Lassiter ’80, director of distribution for Ovation in New York City; and Elizabeth J. Watters ’87, ’90 JD, appointed magistrate for the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas in Columbus.
CANDIDATE CONSIDERATIONS
The nominating committee will consider the following general criteria in evaluating candidates:
· Demonstrated leadership ability
· Diversity in all respects
· Professional background and achievements, including past and current experience on other boards
· Demonstrated commitment to Ohio State through alumni and other university activities.
The committee thanks all those who have submitted an application. The deadline for nominations has now passed, and candidates will be notified of their application in late spring.
