Frank Bazler is a former president of the Miami County Alumni Club and the College of Law Alumni Society. The Bazlers co-chaired Ohio State’s National College and Schools Campaign in 1997 and also co-chaired the Miami Valley major gift committee.

Mr. Bazler is a longtime member of the national council of the Moritz College of Law and is one of the organizers and a past president of the college’s Henry Folsom Page Society. As president of his senior class, he has chaired all the class reunions since 1958.

He is co-chair of the campaign for the Buckeye Barristers Club, which aimsGinni Bazler to increase interaction between law students and alumni. With his own gift and encouragement, the Class of 1953 leads the competition to raise funds for the club.

Frank was a partner with Miller, Bazler, McAdow, and Schlemmer and its predecessor law firms in Troy, Ohio, from 1955 to 1971. During that time, he served as city solicitor for six years. He then was corporate attorney and assistant secretary of Hobart Corp. through 1995. After retiring, he became of counsel with the law firm of Dungan and LeFevre.

He is a past president of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Foundation and served in the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

As the Shelby County home economics Extension agent from 1958 to 1962, Mrs. Bazler worked with young adults through 4-H, local clubs, and educational programs. She has remained involved with Extension and serves as a judge for 4-H and other competitions at county fairs.

Ginni has been treasurer of the Miami County Alumni Club since 1990. Her efforts on behalf of Ohio State have earned her many honors, including the Alumni Citizenship Award.

Ginni served on the campaign for the expansion of the College of Education and Human Ecology’s Campbell Hall and funded a room in the building. She has worked on the college’s alumni executive committee, and in 2000 she received the college’s Affirm Thy Friendship Award.

The Bazlers established the Chester S. Hutchison Scholarship Fund and also funded a room in the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in honor of Ginni’s father, who was assistant dean of what is now the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. They also established the Virginia Hutchison Bazler Scholarship Fund in the College of Education and Human Ecology and the Margaret E. Bazler Library Fund in the Moritz College of Law in honor of Frank’s sister.

The Bazlers were recognized by the Ohio State Foundation in 1998. In 2004, they both received the university’s Distinguished Service Award.
