A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT ALCOHOL AND STUDENT EVENTS

The university is working diligently to convey the message to college students that they can enjoy an event without the presence of alcohol. This is a message that new students get from their first day on campus. This is such an important point for students since alcohol continues to be the number one problem on college campuses.

Serving alcohol at student focused events hosted by OSU alumni (even though underage students are not being served) is counter productive to the university’s efforts. In light of this we are asking that you not serve alcohol (including beer) at any of the events you sponsor where students are the primary focus.

If your group is using Evite to send electronic invitations to students, please read the instructions below to make sure that your invitation doesn't contain ads for alcoholic beverages.

"You can prevent your Evite from having alcohol advertising during the create process by selecting 'Just 4 Kids' as your event type in the drop down menu. Have no fear, by doing so you will still be able to select any design from other categories."
