CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Conflict is an inevitable part of our daily interactions - at work, at home, with friends. We will introduce and practice an easy-to-follow model for confrontation to resolve conflict successfully. Although the focus will be on one-on-one conflict and confrontation, the concepts and skills can be applied to group settings.

POLITICS: THE ELECTION OF 2008
This session will focus on the basic forces at play in determining the outcome of that election. It will begin by answering key questions about the composition of the 2008 electorate before examining how the McCain and Obama campaigns are attempting to appeal to partisans and nonpartisans. In the presidential contest, the goal is to win a majority of the state Electoral College votes, not the popular vote. Which states are emerging as the campaign battlegrounds for the Electoral College victory, and why? Finally, we will address the consequences of different election outcomes for future of American politics and government.
