 2010 Big 10 Basketball Tournaments 

 

Join the Ohio State University Alumni Association for the 2010 Big Ten  Basketball Tournaments in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Congratulations to our Lady Buckeyes who defended their 2009 Tournament Championship by winning the 2010 Championship with a dramatic 66-64 win over Iowa!  Now the men, who have the #1 seed, will be looking for their third tournament title as they tip-off on Friday, March 12th at Noon vs. the winner of #8 Michigan or #9 Iowa

Single and all session tickets are now available with a limited number of Upper Bowl tickets directly through all Ticketmaster outlets and the Conseco Fieldhouse Box Office.

Champps: Ohio State central
Champps Restaurant will once again serve as the official home for Ohio State alumni and fans during the weekend. Champps is located at 49 W. Maryland in the Circle Centre Mall (on the SE corner of Illinois and Washington. Call (317) 951-0033 for more information.  Show your tournament tickets throughout the weekend and receive $2 off any appetizer.

Join OSUAA staff member Andy Gurd, as the Alumni Association in partnership with the Ohio State Department of Athletics sponsors a pep rally to support the Ohio State men’s basketball team beginning at 10:00 a.m. - Noon on Saturday, March 13. The pep rally will ONLY be hosted if the Buckeye men advance to the semi-finals. Again, the Ohio State men play at Noon on Friday, March 12, against the winner of the Michigan/Iowa game.

The rally will feature the Ohio State athletic pep band, Buckeye cheerleaders, Brutus Buckeye, as well as remarks from men’s basketball radio color analyst Ronnie Stokes, Big Ten Network analyst Jimmy Jackson and a member of the Department of Athletics senior leadership team. A raffle with great prizes will also be held, conducted by the OSU Alumni Club of Greater Indianapolis.


Big Ten Conference Career Expo
Students and Alumni, please note: Indianapolis will host the 3rd Annual Big Ten Conference Career Expo on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in conjunction with the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament. Registration for the Career Expo is free for all Big Ten students and alumni. For more information or to register, visit www.bigtencareerexpo.com.

Big Ten 5K Race
Registration for the Big Ten Hoops Day 5K is $20 if you sign up online before the day of the race or $25 if you sign up on-site. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Big Ten University’s colors with t-shirts, face paint, flags, etc. Music and a basketball shoot-around help participants warm up before the race. The event leads up to the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament Championship Game.

The Hoops Day 5K starts and finishes on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of Conseco Fieldhouse and winds 3.1 miles through downtown Indianapolis. Packet pick up will take place from 9–10:45 a.m. at Conseco and the first 1,200 registrants will receive an Under Armour long-sleeve Hoops Day 5K shirt.

Indianapolis’ 2009 Big Ten Basketball Celebration featured the inaugural Big Ten Hoops Day 5K with over 850 runners and walkers participating. All 11 Big Ten schools were represented, but Indiana University alumni and fans claimed the traveling trophy for being the Big Ten institution with the top individual performances.
