Who is Eligible to Purchase Alumni Football Tickets?

Ohio State is unique among major Division I programs in allocating a significant block of football tickets to its alumni organization for sale to its members.

Although demand will always exceed supply, the Association is committed to continuing this highly valued benefit to its members through the annual ticket lottery.

With the recent approval of the constitutional amendments, the lottery will be open only to Life Members and Sustaining Members beginning in 2013.

Sustaining Members can retain or earn eligibility for the lottery by making yearly tax-deductible gifts of $75 or more to the Ohio State fund(s) of their choice.

Life Members who currently are paid in full will maintain lottery eligibility for all years going forward. Those who are on payment plans will continue to be eligible for the lottery and will remain eligible in all years after they complete their payments.

The timing of the lottery process will remain the same. Members will receive notification of lottery details via U.S. Mail or e-mail in late April. The registration process will follow in May, with results being available in early July.

Since its inception, more than 90 percent of lottery registrants have been successful in getting two tickets to a Buckeye home game.

2013 season: Active paid OSUAA members as of July 1, 2012, will be eligible for the alumni ticket lottery. Alumni who make gifts of $75 or more between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2012, also will be eligible.

2014 season and beyond: Alumni who make gifts of $75 or more between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2013, will be eligible for the 2014 lottery. The same dates will apply to future seasons.
