Rally Set for Big Ten Women's Tourney

Posted Mar. 1, 2010

COLUMBUS—A pep rally to support the Ohio State women’s basketball team at the Big Ten Tournament is scheduled for 2:30-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, at Champps Circle Center, 49 W. Maryland Ave. (actual location is on the SE corner of Illinois and Washington). Champps is the home for Ohio State fans during both the men’s and women’s Big Ten Basketball Tournaments.

The pep rally will only be hosted if the Buckeye women advance to the semi-finals. The Ohio State women play at 6 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 5, against the winner of the Illinois/Indiana game.

The rally will feature the Ohio State athletic pep band, Buckeye cheerleaders, Brutus Buckeye, as well as remarks from play-by-play announcer Marty Bannister and a member of the Department of Athletics senior leadership team. A raffle with great prizes will also be held.

Single-session tickets for the tournament are on sale now at the Conseco Fieldhouse box office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, or at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information on the Big Ten Tournaments, visit these links:

This pep rally is being sponsored by the Ohio State Alumni Association in partnership with the Ohio State Department of Athletics.
