For the second time in three years Ohio State Alumni Magazine has been selected to receive the Gold Award for Best Institution/Alumni Magazine by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District V.
Ohio State Alumni Magazine last earned the Gold Award in 2007. It also recently received the 2009 James P. Barry Ohioana Award for Editorial Excellence, and was the first alumni publication to receive that honor.
"Ohio State Alumni Magazine informs, enlightens, and entertains its readers," said Archie Griffin, president and CEO of the Alumni Association. "Our magazine does a wonderful job of telling the story of Ohio State and it's alumni. We are honored to receive an award that recognizes this great work."
The magazine is a publication of the Ohio State University Alumni Association. It was also given the CASE V Gold Award for most improved publication in 2006.
CASE V's district covers six states in the Midwest including Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota. The CASE V Silver Award went to Ohio University and the Bronze Award to Indiana University.
Ohio State Alumni Magazine is celebrating it's 100th year of publication.
