WELCOME HOME, PRESIDENT GEE

The Ohio State Alumni Association welcomes Gordon Gee home as the university's next president. Gee first served as president of Ohio State from 1990 to 1997.
The university’s board of trustees announced Gee’s return at Longaberger Alumni House, the official campus home for Ohio State alumni.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the board’s decision to invite Gordon back,” said Alumni Association president and CEO Archie Griffin. “His personal warmth and his ability to reach out to alumni all over the world were hallmarks that made him an ideal ambassador for Ohio State and the Association the first time around. We look forward to resuming a great partnership.”
Gee’s return comes at a strategic time for the Association, which launched a new direction under Griffin’s leadership in 2004. The Association’s goal of becoming the biggest and best alumni organization coincides with the university’s rise in standing and ranking among the nation’s public universities.
