Visit Tian’anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. Explore the hutong areas for a glimpse of life in Beijing before the city’s modernization. Continue to Xi’an to marvel at the famous Terra Cotta Warriors, then journey to Lhasa, your gateway to the stunning landscape and impressive landmarks of the fascinating land of Tibet. Visit Jokhang Temple, an important pilgrimage site; Potala Palace, once the seat of the Tibetan government; Samye, the first monastery built in Tibet; and Yumbulagang Palace, constructed for Tibet’s first king. Travel to Chongqing to see its giant pandas. Then, board the Century Sky and cruise through the magnificent Three Gorges along the Yangtze River. Conclude your journey in cosmopolitan Shanghai, with visits to the Bund and Yu Garden.
