Tony joined the Alumni Association in January 2008. He is Senior Director of Development & Sponsorship working closely with many other units across the University to help secure funding sources that advance the mission of OSUAA and OSU. Tony earned his bachelor’s degree in forest biology (summa cum laude with distinction) from Ohio State and was heavily involved in student leadership and organizations across campus; culminating in his being chosen as both an Outstanding Senior Award recipient and a member of the 1982 OSU Homecoming Court.
After serving 19 years in the faith-based non-profit sector, Tony transitioned in 2002 into higher education administration, specifically serving in the advancement and external relations areas of Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) in Idaho and Purdue University before taking his “dream job” in his current position at his alma mater. While serving as Director of Development full-time at NNU, he also earned his MBA (highest honors) and experienced some of the American West culture—including the pro rodeo circuit. Tony also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana Wesleyan University teaching classes in change management, introduction to environmental science, human resource management and leadership development.
Tony is married to fellow Buckeye graduate, Donna Vidmar, and they have three children and three dogs. Since graduating from OSU in 1983, Tony and Donna have lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio (twice), Florida, Indiana (twice) and Idaho. Their occupational travels have afforded them a diverse look at this wonderful country. But, they are happy to be at home again in the Midwest and The Buckeye State!
