Notable: Breer has covered the National Football League in a number of places since graduating from Ohio State. He served as beat writer covering the New England Patriots for both the Boston Herald and Boston Globe, as well as covering the Dallas Cowboys for the Dallas Morning News. Prior to joining the Boston Globe in 2009, Breer served as the Sporting News’s national NFL correspondent. Since joining the NFL Network, Breer has written for NFL.com and serves as reporter on the Network’s Total Access and NFL GameDay Morning programs. While at Ohio State, Breer wrote for the student daily The Lantern and in 2001 won first place in sportswriting for the Society of Professional Journalists region 4 newspaper contest.
