Founders Day: Saturday, September 17

Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, will mark the anniversary of Ohio State's first day of classes in 1873. This is a special day to remember your Ohio State roots and recognize the impact the university made on your life.

You can participate in this celebration in a number of ways.

Show your pride online by making the Block O your social media profile picture beginning on Thursday, Sept. 15, to share your pride with incoming Buckeyes during Ohio State Welcome Week.

You can also honor Ohio State's motto of "Education for Citizenship" by engaging in a service project in your home community. Alumni are stepping up around the country in their communities by engaging in important efforts that support critical local causes.

You can engage in these initiatives with fellow Ohio State alumni, or do good on your own to show everyone what Buckeyes are all about.

Go Bucks!
